I noticed the other day while talking outfits with a friend of mine how our taste in clothing and accessories have changed back to the styles we hated wearing as a kid. Spock Caricature Exercise
I recently gained possession of one of the best art books I’ve seen in a while, The Mad Art of Caricature by Tom Richmond. He creates the artwork for Mad Magazine-one of my favorite magazines since I was a kid! His art is amazing and now I get to inherit a small nugget of his vast wisdom! This is day one of practice and I’ve already learned quite a bit. Believe me, I am a long long long way from mastering this skill (long way) but the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. Ill be posting progress. Here we go!

Todays exercise is a flying hippo or a hippo with wings. He looks a little sad though, perhaps he needs to take flight?
